Enhanced Oil Recovery - Chemical Flooding
Aminofunctional (cationic) methacryltaes, ether methacrylates and methacrylamides are used to support the development of polymers for enhanced oil recovery and chemical flooding operations.
Fluid Loss Agents
Alkyl methacrylates, aminofunctional methacrylates and methacrylamides are used as building blocks to make polymers that prevent the loss of fluid to the formation.
Friction reducer polymers for stimulation fluids.
Cationic methacrylates and methacrylamides such as VISIOMER® MAPTAC and VISIOMER® TMAEMC are used for the synthesis of high molecular weight cationic polymers. Applications of such polymers include cationic friction reducers for high salinity fracturing fluids and high temperature reservoirs.
Hydrate Inhibitor
Aminofunctional methacrylates and methacrylamides (VISIOMER® DMAPMA, VISIOMER® MADAME) as well as methacrylamides (VISIOMER NIPMAA) are used as building block to make polymer to prevent methane hydrate formation.
Rheology Modifiers and Viscosifiers
Aminofunctional methacrylates, ether methacrylates and methacrylamides are used as additives to support the development of polymers and alter rheological properties including control of sagging, settling, stability and processability of liquids and powders.
Separation of oil-in-water emuslsions
Quats like VISIOMER® TMAEMC and VISIOMER® MAPTAC are used in cationic polymers. They are suitable for separating the oil-in-water emulsion obtained in crude oil production.
Shale Control
Aminofunctional (cationic) methacrylates and methacrylamides are building blocks for the production of shale control polymers.
Water Treatment
Cationic methacrylates and methacrylamides such as VISIOMER® MAPTAC and TMAEMC are building block to make cationic water soluble polymer to treat production waste water.
